RESERVATION POLICY

 

In order to make a reservation for you we need this information:

Exact dates of arrival and departure

Your preference of the Junior Suite, upstairs or downstairs room

Number of people per room

Number of beds per room

Number of rooms to reserve

To hold your reservation:

 

When you request a reservation you will receive information to make your room deposit.

We do ask for a non-refundable room deposit within 48 hours of your confirmed request.

Deposits to hold reservations:

We ask for a non-refundable room deposit for the cost of the first night of your stay for each room.

All requests for room changes are subject to availability.  When changes are requested with more than 10 days notice, any difference in rates will be calculated and applied using our online reservation rates.  When charges are requested with less than 10 days notice or upon arrival, any difference in rates will be calculated and applied using our standard rack rates.

 

 

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT POLICY

 

Group reservations cannot be split up between multiple parties. One party must take responsibility for making the room reservations, assignments, and required deposits.

 

Once your reservation is processed you will receive a confirmation voucher with your reservation details, check-in instructions, airport transportation information and driving directions.

 

If you do not check-in on the first night of your reservation, your reservation will only be held for the time covered by the deposit unless we receive notice by telephone or email to continue holding your reservation.

 

HURRICANE POLICY

 

Although we do not offer refunds due to bad weather or hurricanes, we do have a very generous hurricane policy: If you have reservations at Rancho and 3 or 4 days ahead of time, and it looks like a hurricane is headed toward the Yucatan, we will gladly let you reschedule your reservations for the low season. If you are at Rancho and a hurricane is headed toward the Yucatan and you decide to leave Mexico, the money you have paid, for the time you have booked, will be credited to you for another equal period of time in the low season for up to 12 months from your original scheduled arrival. i.e.: If you have been at Rancho for 3 days out of your week stay you have paid for, we will credit you with the whole week next year during low season (based on availability). This applies only to room costs at Rancho. There’s really no way to lose here.

 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

 

We understand that unforeseen circumstances such as medical emergencies do occasionally arise, for that reason we have designed our cancellation with some flexibility in mind.  However, we do strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance.

  

Cancellations are effective on the date written notice is received by email.

We do not offer refunds of deposits, and  all special rates or promotions listed as non-refundable are completely non-refundable.  We do, however, offer a very generous cancellation policy:

If you must cancel your reservation and you do so with 7 or more days notice we will gladly respect your deposit (or 100% of the total payment of your reservation in the case of non-refundable rates) and apply it to your rescheduled stay during any equivalent or lower season except for Holiday season (December 23 - January 2) for up to 12 months from your original scheduled arrival.

If you must cancel your reservation and you do so with less than 7 days notice but before 12 pm (Cancun time) on the day of your scheduled arrival, you will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the total cost of your reservation.  Should you choose to reschedule, we will credit this amount to your rescheduled stay during any equivalent or lower season except for Holiday season (December 23 - January 2) for up to 12 months from your original scheduled arrival.

All cancellations made after 12 pm on the day of scheduled arrival will be charged 100% of the total cost of reservation.  When written notice of cancellation is received on the day of scheduled arrival and you choose to reschedule, we will credit this amount to your rescheduled stay during any equivalent or lower season except for Holiday season (December 23 - January 2) for up to 12 months from your original scheduled arrival.

 

We only allow deposits and/or prior balance payments to be applied once to rescheduled reservations. If you must cancel your rescheduled reservation, we will not apply the deposit or prior payments to any future reservations.

All rescheduled reservations are subject to availability and approval.  Please contact us by email when you are ready to reschedule.

Cancellation of reserved nights after arrival will be charged according to the applicable cancellation policy.

 

All special cases and emergencies will be left to the manager's discretion.

PRIVACY POLICY 

 

We take privacy very seriously at Rancho Sak-Ol.  In order to handle reservations at our property, we require the following personal information:

 

Name

Mailing address

Telephone number(s)

Email address

Credit card information

Information related to special requests

 

We will use this information in order to process your payment and reservation, to communicate with you regarding your reservation, to make arrangements based on any special requests, and to communicate with your regarding any events that might come up during your stay (to pass along phone messages or other communication for instance in case we cannot contact you in person).

We will not release this information to third-party marketers nor will we send you marketing material ourselves unless we obtain additional permission from you beforehand.

 

Retention policy

We will continue to store the personal information collected and your communications with us for the time period required by statute.  We keep your information in a secure property management system, which we use to accept and process reservations.  We take steps to protect this data from unauthorized use and/or disclosure.

In order to better serve you during subsequent reservations, we will continue to hold your information and communications after the statutory period has expired unless you direct us to do otherwise.

We don’t share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law.

Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.

You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services.
